Kelli McCracken’s love affair with books
began long before she could read. She didn’t let anything stop her from
creating stories, even as a child.

That same passion still exists within her
today. She is an artist by nature, a curator of characters. Kelli
McCracken does her best to give each story and character great depth.

“It seems like all I do is write…and listen to
Layne. He’s constantly whispering something naughty in my ear, like being
dipped in chocolate. Now I want a Kit-Kat. Welcome to my zany life, where
#SanityIsOptional, romance is required, and liquor is most definitely quicker.
I love talking about my characters. Hope you like hearing about them.”

When she isn’t chasing kids, working on
crafts, or sneaking off with a bottle of wine, Kelli spends her time writing.
Of course, it can’t be all work and no play. Once
procrastination strikes,  you can usually find her hanging out on
Facebook, Pinterest, or Spotify. Be sure to stop by and say
hi. She loves chatting with readers.

Empathy, by Ker Dukey, is on SALE!!!!!

Title: Empathy

Author: Ker Dukey

Genre: Dark Romance/Erotic Suspense

I am a brother.
I am a police detective.
I am a contract killer.
I don’t want to love.
I don’t want to feel.
I don’t want … EMPATHY.

They say some people are born with decreased activity in the front central lobe causing them a deficiency in empathy. Maybe that’s true about me, but whether I was born this way or created in a moment of evil, empathy was something I didn’t possess until her green eyes met mine in the mirror and I couldn’t take her life.

I didn’t want to feel, didn’t want this woman in my life complicating how I lived but she was there at every turn. Sent to haunt me for my sins. Her light so bright she provoked a shadow from everyone she touched. When a job turns bad quickly altering my life forever I’m forced to feel. When nothing is making sense I’m forced to face truths I never would recover from. When life drowns you in its cruelty you don’t know which way the current will drag you or who you’ll become once you re-surface.

I was a daughter
I was a student.
I was a victim.
Did I have his love?
Did I make him feel?
Did I have his empathy?
When the actions of a soulless killer forces sorrow into my veins, I never dreamed the man healing my wounds would be the one to leave the worst scar. His love would scar my soul. Scars are permanent; I will never feel the relief from them.
Will I learn to live with them, remember why I have them and learn never to let him close enough to inflict more? Will I eventually cover them… like tattoos coating them with new memories, new love and new starts?
I didn’t know these answers because the pain was too suffocating, the only thing I knew was they will always be under the surface lingering. He had scars too, from his sins. There is nothing that can cover them, they were too deep, too ugly, too dark and they marked us both forever.

My Review :

I am going to tell you I absolutely FL♥VE Ker, she is truly an inspirational women/Author and I'm in awe of her, the way she can caputure your heat and soul when reading any of her books is truly Amazing.

I was given an Arc of this book, early hours of a morning and started reading it at 10am. I knew there was no going back for me. I was there, until I got to those dreaded words ( THE END) which I had read by lunch time.
That woman never fails to amaze me! She leads you down a path you think you have it all figured out, then she blows the road infront of you up.... And you're left in bits from the aftershock.
would be simple, should it for someone not capable of empathy, but lets just say it was easy for Blake until Melody ran into his life, causing him to doubt himself.
I love all the twists and turns Ker takes you on in this book.
It leaves you hanging on the edge of your seat. Hang on tight people because you are about to get blown away.
I dont want to go into details for fear of spoiling the book, but I will tell you if you dont read this you really are missing out. ~ Vicci

I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bed time stories with my sisters. I wanted to be an actress growing up so I could live many roles but I learned early on that my mind was too active... I would want to change the script.I would watch films and think of ways they could of improved the story if they took another direction so i thought it best that i tell my own. My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made from light, some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling. When I'm not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I'm a mum and that comes first in my life but when I do get down time I love attending music concerts or reading events with my younger sister. You can find me on facebook where i love interacting with my readers. cooltext1775488617

Drake Restrained 2 Release Day Blitz

Title: Drake Restrained 2
Author: S.E. Lund

Genre: New Adult, Erotic, Contemporary Romance

Hosted by: Lady Amber's Tours

Book Description:

Drake Morgan, MD, Neurosurgeon, bass player, philanthropist – Dominant.

He doesn't do girlfriends, he doesn’t do sleepovers, and he certainly doesn't do breakfast in bed the morning after. He has his surgical slate at New York Presbyterian, he has a charitable foundation providing surgical tools to hospitals in Africa, he has his Brit Invasion cover band, Mersey, and he has his secret life as a Dominant in Manhattan's BDSM community.

Into bondage, D/s and the occasional dungeon scene, Drake keeps every part of his life separate, the divisions between them neat and tidy. His weeks are filled with surgeries, music and D/s sex, and none of the well-planned and scheduled parts of his life intersect.

That is until Kate McDermott crosses his path and screws everything up.

Now, nothing is neat and tidy anymore, for Drake is smitten and things are going to get messy…

S. E. Lund lives with her family of humans and animals in a small city in Western Canada in an old house on a quiet tree-lined street. Besides writing erotic, contemporary and paranormal romance, she writes science fiction and fantasy, science fact, advocates for climate action, plays piano and dreams of living in a warm climate by the ocean.

"I can't imagine that meaningless sex can be rewarding in the long run."

I sighed. After a bad marriage, meaningless sex was a relief from sex that was wrapped up in anger and frustration and misunderstanding. "It's not,” I said. “But it's good enough for now."

She stared at me, and I could tell from the expression on her face that I was forcing her to confront issues that were difficult.

"I only want to fuck someone who loves me,” she said. “Is that so wrong?"

"Someone will love you, Kate,” I said, for someone would. Kate was not the kind of woman to remain single for very long. I was surprised she’d been single for as long as she had, but there were several traumas in her life and she needed time to recover. “Do you really want to wait until he does? Is masturbating all alone in your room at night, for what – a year? Is that really good enough for you?"

As soon as I said it, I knew it was a mistake. I could almost see her heart crack.

She left the living room and I heard her opening and closing drawers and cupboards with quite a lot of force. She was hurt. I followed her in after a moment and stood behind her as she fiddled with a teapot.

"I'm sorry." I reached out and touched her shoulder, wanting to reconnect and mend things.

"You’re a bastard."

"No, I'm not. I'm just being honest.” I turned her around and tried to catch her eye but she avoided me. “Kate, you deserve to have pleasure when you need it. You're not a bad girl for wanting to feel it. I can give it to you. I want to give you the pleasure you need in the way that most appeals to you, deep down inside if you're brave enough to admit it to yourself."

She actually closed her eyes and turned her head away.

"Here," I said and pulled her into an embrace, needing to break the icy silence between us. She didn’t respond, her body stiff. "I'm sorry I hurt your feelings by speaking the truth so plainly,” I said softly. “If this is going to work between us, you have to let me break down those protective walls you've built up around yourself. Otherwise, you won’t really experience submission the way you need to."

Finally, she opened her eyes. "So you're telling me you have to be mean to me in order for me to be able to submit?"

"No, you have to be honest with me about what you need and want. You have to honest with yourself."

I watched her chest heaving. She was close to tears. I had to save the moment or the night would be over, and fast.

"Kate, are you sexually attracted to me?"

"You already know you're very handsome."

"I didn’t ask that. I asked you if you were sexually attracted to me." She didn’t answer so I spoke even more softly "Do you want to fuck me? Is there a part of you that just wishes you could right now and to hell with convention?"

Finally, she replied, her voice wavering. "Yes. But I'm afraid."

"What are you afraid of? That you'll have a great orgasm or three?"

"I'm afraid that you'll hurt me."

"I told you and Lara told you that I'm not into pain. I don’t want to hurt you, Kate. I want to make you feel pleasure."

"Not that kind of hurt."

I shook my head and stared at her for a moment. I knew what she meant. I had to get it through to her that we would keep things from becoming too tangled emotionally.

"That won't happen. We'll only have sex. None of that relationship stuff. We won't have breakfast together or go to movies or on dates. We'll fuck. I'll tie you up and make you come until you scream. I'll come. Then I'll go home. You'll sleep like a baby. End of story."

She looked doubtful, her brow furrowed. "What if I fall in love with you?"

I fought the grin that was threatening. "I won't let you."

"That's like saying you can control the weather. You can't."

I couldn’t keep back my smile. "I can control the weather, too."

She smiled back reluctantly, turning away slightly so I couldn’t see her, but I caught the grin nonetheless.

"I know this is all new to you. I know you're afraid." I embraced her once more, pressing my hips against her so she knew how hard I was. How much I wanted her.

Then I let her go and went back into the living room and sat back in the center of the sofa. She’d have to follow me eventually, and I’d know by how she responded and where she sat whether I was going to make any progress with her or whether I had gone too far. My sense was that she was fighting with all her might not to want me, not to want this, but that she was failing.

And more importantly, that she wanted to fail.

Our Interview with Gina Whitney :

Raunchy, Rude Reader’s Blog : Why did you decide to become a writer?

Gina Whitney : I love to read, and have a vivid imagination. When I set my mind to something there's no stopping me. I like to do different things. Especially if it's out of the norm.

RRRB : What are the most important attributes to remaining sane as a writer?

GW : Staying humble is one for me. There are a myriad of fantastic brilliant writers. You need to keep putting out great books. Keep writing! I feel such growth with every new book.

RRRB : How did you decide to go from paranormal to erotica?
GW : First, and foremost paranormal is my favorite genre. Erotica, is very tangible to me. I felt paranormal would be harder to break into(it was).

RRRB : How do you react to a bad review of one of your books?
GW : I'd like to say I'm thick-skinned, but I'm not. I try to take it in stride. Truly, it depends on where my head's at that day.

RRRB : Do you ever write naked?
GW : No, but I usually wear boxers and a tank.

RRRB : While writing, do you drink alcohol to beef up your creative imagination?
GW : Sometime, yes! Wine gets me tired. So, I tend to lean toward an IPA beer(which is hopsy, strong, and my fave).

RRRB : Does your family read your books? How do they react?
GW : A few have read, and basically have said "Clearly, you get your imagination from my side.".

RRRB : How do you research your novels?
GW : Mainly the internet, but most of my books are of past experience.

RRRB : Do any parts of the story come from real life experiences?
GW : Yes, yes, and yes! They are all facets of me, and my experiences. I may have re-shaped them, but I've lived them mostly.

RRRB : How did you think of a 12-inch-man (see Beautiful Lies)???? I have never met one of those....
GW : Actually, yes..lol. Someone from my past. I tend to write from a place of honesty and truth.

RRRB : Are the names of the characters in your novels important?
GW : Yes! I have to feel the name. The name Abel, while not common just moved me.

RRRB : How did you come up with Abel Gunner?
GW : Abel, is part if the name of my favorite band and a certain someone close to me.

RRRB : Do your characters ever tell you what to write? Or do you know exactly how their stories will end?
GW : Sometimes, I know the ending before I've written the first sentence. It happened that way in Saving Abel book one.

RRRB : Do you have any tattoos or piercings?
GW : I have three tattoos, and had a belly piercing.

RRRB : Do you enjoy giving interviews?
GW : When I have time..absolutely.
